In 1999, I left my life in China and moved to Boston to study at Boston University. I graduated in 2001 with a Master's in Actuarial Science. My first job out of college was at Sun Life, where I started as an Actuarial Assistant working on Variable Annuity Pricing.
In 2003, I moved to Individual Financial Actuarial. I was one of the first students to join the Student Rotation Program, which helps actuarial students gain different skills. I earned my FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) in 2005.
I believe I made an excellent decision coming to Sun Life, as I've learned so much since I've started here. Going through the Student Rotation program has equipped me with the skills I need to make a rewarding career. I have opportunities to work on a variety of interesting projects, and I'm always learning something new.
